    Hema Modi brings with her a diverse background in both higher education and corporate HR, with a keen eye for business strategy development and promoting student career success.

    Most recently, Hema was the Assistant Director of Employer Relations for Mihaylo College of Business & Economics at California State University, Fullerton. In her seven years at Mihaylo, she started and grew the employer relations program, in which she oversaw all employer outreach, developed diverse employer programming, and was integral in strengthening recruiting relationships to serve the college’s 9.500 elite undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to Mihaylo, Hema worked in corporate Human Resources where she wore multiple hats from talent recruitment, navigating HR operations, and promoting key business development.

    Hema holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership and a BA in Human Resource Management, both from California State University, Fullerton. In her free time and as a SoCal native, she enjoys going to outdoor summer concerts, singing in her local choir, and hiking around the lakes and mountains of Southern California.

    Kayzelyn comes from a diverse background of experiences which include careers in education, health, business, hospitality, wellness and entrepreneurship. She has worked in higher education serving college students for over 7 years and has experience in career advising, outreach, event planning, program development and specialized in Employer Relations. She was an integral member of various committees that promote a positive work-culture and helped implement strategies for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the work environment. She is passionate about wellness, personal, professional development, and serving students/community.

    Saira Fazli is the Assistant Director, Employer Engagement at the Division of Career Pathways (DCP). Before she joined the Employer Relations team at DCP, Saira worked in graduate student affairs at the Paul Merage School of Business, where she oversaw two Specialty Masters Programs: the Master of Finance and the Master of Professional Accountancy. In her role at the Merage School, Saira worked closely to support students and faculty and served as a part of the committee that co-founded the Merage API (Asian & Pacific Islander) Initiative. Previously, Saira was a Client Relationship Senior Manager at Kforce, where she cultivated strong professional relationships among the local employer community in order to staff and recruit subject matter experts within Finance, Accounting, & Data Analytics. Prior to that, Saira spent nearly a decade championing diverse talent in the media and entertainment industry, notably as a creative executive at Comedy Central and also as a comedy TV agent. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UCI in Film & Media Studies, minoring in Business Management with a Marketing emphasis. Saira is also currently the co-chair of the Womxn in Leadership chapter of the API Staff & Faculty Association (APISFA) at UCI. She is passionate about Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) and championing social justice. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her cats as well as enjoying nature and the beach.
