What is Handshake?
Handshake is UC Irvine's online platform for career services, connecting you with employers, job opportunities, and resources to advance your career. Simply log in with your UCINetID and password.
Here’s what you can do:
- Find Jobs and Internships:
- Search by major and access on-campus jobs and off-campus jobs.
- Attend Career Events:
- Register for UCI career fairs, employer information sessions, and Division of Career Pathways events and workshops.
- Connect with Employers:
- Engage with employers and alumni through comments on postings.
- Schedule Career Advising:
- Book career counseling appointments with UCI Division of Career Pathways' Career Educators for personalized guidance.
How To Complete Your Handshake Profile
Employers search for candidates on Handshake every day. An updated and complete Handshake profile makes you 5x more likely to be messaged by a recruiter.
To fully leverage Handshake, make sure you complete your profile by including the following:
- One (1) experience (ex. job, internship, or volunteer work)
- One (1) skill (ex. teamwork, coding, or leadership)
- One (1) organization (ex. clubs, student groups, or teams)
