Greetings from the UCI Division of Career Pathways
UCI’s Division of Career Pathways (DCP) works with the campus and employer communities to position students for career success. We provide a comprehensive portfolio of career discovery, internship, employment, and graduate school admissions services to engage first-year students through PhDs and recent alumni in their career development.
The Division of Career Pathways is always here to help students with their career-related questions, but we also want to support our campus community already having career conversations with students. We’d like to further equip you to foster these conversations and develop a university-wide culture of career readiness so that our students are better prepared for their next steps! We invite you to explore our resources, promote our services with your students, and support each other with community-specific career needs.
- Share our career guides, resume resources, and career fairs and graduate school fairs with your students. All students have access to Handshake (our main career platform), Big Interview, Focus 2 (career assessments), and more.
- Refer students to options for in-person, virtual, or drop-in career counseling at DCP.
- Explore ways to integrate career readiness into your curriculum. Visit our Career Readiness Briefings modules for sample assignments & syllabi, or use our Career Readiness for Students page with your students.
- Request a workshop on career-focused subjects like resume writing, interview strategies, job search strategies, applying to grad school, and more. Submit a request.
- Attend a Career Conversations training for staff and/or faculty to learn more about career readiness and career-related resources and services we offer for undergraduate and graduate students. Join the DCP ListServ to receive information about upcoming trainings and quarterly announcements.
- Hire UCI students! Post your open positions on Handshake and learn how to easily incorporate career readiness into your student job descriptions.
