Araceli Rossi Assistant Director/ Career Counselor
Araceli Rossi obtained her bachelor degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. After working as a social worker for 10 years in a non-profit mental health clinic, Araceli joined UCI, and has been at the Career Center since 1992. She has extensive experience in career counseling and oversees the career development services of the Career Center. Part of her role is to advise students interested in pursuing law school. She is the liaison to the Disability Services Center and Cross Cultural Center. Araceli finds great satisfaction working with the very talented and gifted students at UCI.
Kathy Dotson Assistant Director/ Career Counselor
Kathy graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration- emphasis in Marketing. After a few years working in the business field she decided to explore other areas and discovered the area of career counseling. She went on to get a Master Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Career Counseling from Chapman University. Kathy started working full-time at UCI and enjoys combining her marketing experience with career counseling in the college environment. She serves as a liaison to the School of Biological Sciences, School of Physical Sciences and the Athletic Department.
Mark Carolino Career Counselor
Mark Carolino finished his undergraduate degree in Mass Communications at UC Berkeley. Upon graduation he worked at the UC Office of the President and after conversations with mentors he decided to pursue a Masters degree in Higher Education at New York University. Mark spent 2 years as a Career Counselor at NYU and is very excited to work with students at UC Irvine. He is the liaison for the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences.
Allison Keller Career Counselor
Allison Keller graduated from Stanford University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Indiana University with a masters degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. She provides career counseling, conducts workshops, and teaches classes to students and alumni on various aspects of career planning including career exploration, Strong/MBTI interpretation, job search strategies, and graduate school planning. She serves as the liaison to the Schools of Nursing, Public Health and Social Ecology.
Stacie Oshima Career Counselor
Stacie Oshima graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies. She then obtained her Masters degree in Communication Management at USC and spent five years at MGM in the marketing departments of the Television and Home Entertainment groups. After being inspired through informational interviews, Stacie decided to pursue the field of career counseling. She went back to UCLA for her Master of Education in Counseling in Student Affairs. She is a liaison with the undergraduate students at the Merage School of Business.
Michelle Mallen Career Counselor / UCDC and SIP Advisor
Michelle Mallen received her Bachelors in Anthropology from UCSD and continued her studies in graduate school at UC Davis. After completing her Master of Arts in Anthropology degree, she decided to change career directions and obtained a Master of Science in Counseling degree from California State University, Sacramento. Michelle serves as a liaison to the School of Social Sciences and Veterans Services Offices. She is also the Advisor for the Career Center’s Summer UCDC and Sacramento Internship Programs.
Andrea Chung Career Counselor
Andrea Chung graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She went on to earn a master’s degree in Counseling (with emphases in college and career counseling) from San Francisco State University. In addition to providing career advising to college students, Andrea has also worked in other sectors within higher education/student affairs, including residential life, academic advising, tutoring and teaching. She currently serves as the primary advisor for students interested in applying to law school.
Brittney Billszar Career Counselor
Brittney graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelors in Sociology. She later obtained her Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education from Cal State Fullerton. She has worked at a variety of public institutions with diverse student populations, ranging from community college students to graduate students. Brittney is honored to work with the students here at UC Irvine. She serves as the liaison for the Arts, Humanities, Social Science and Transfer Center.
Neda Moayedi Graduate Career Counselor
Neda is a proud UCI alum and earned her BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She earned her Master's degree in Higher Education Leadership at the University of San Diego. She comes with a unique mix of career counseling, academic and student affairs, and over 10 years of industry experience which enhance her interactions with students exploring diverse career paths. Neda is passionate about the personal, professional, and career development of the graduate student population.
