How To Complete Your Handshake Profile

With a completed Handshake profile, you get 5x more job opportunities

Employers search for candidates on Handshake every day.  An updated and complete Handshake profile makes you 5x more likely to be messaged by a recruiter.

Add Content to your Handshake Profile

To fully leverage Handshake, make sure you complete your profile by including the following:

  • One (1) Experience (ex. job, internship, or volunteer work)
  • One (1) Skill (ex. teamwork, coding, or leadership)
  • One (1) Organization (ex. clubs, student groups, or teams)

Add job type, location, and job roles to your Handshake profile

For best serach results, add what you are looking for to your profile:

  • Job Type (ex. Internship, campus job)
  • Location (ex. Irvine)
  • Job Roles (ex. Data Scientist)
