Experience Expo is a collaborative two week event that seeks to create awareness of the variety of ways students can engage in professional development. Through a collection of workshops, fairs, and other events, hosted by multiple departments on campus, students can discover opportunities, connect with professionals from on and off campus, and create success. This event is open to all majors and degree levels, and includes programming for undergraduate and graduate students.

    Do you know what to do at a fair? Having a plan is an important part of attending any career fair. Practice Makes Perfect! Stop by the Practice Fair anytime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to get your career fair checklist, have your resume reviewed, and develop and practice your elevator pitch. Employers will be on hand to give feedback and help you refine your approach.

    Find volunteer opportunities, internships, leadership roles, and field study sites. Meet non-profit organizations, campus departments and campus organizations! The Community Service & Leadership Fair is open to the UCI community. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to visit the fair on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Pacific Ballroom, UCI Student Center from 11:00 a.m. to 2p.m. This is a great opportunity to meet the people who work or volunteer for our local nonprofits, campus departments and campus organizations. This program is presented by Student Life & Leadership, Campus Organizations & Volunteer Programs, and Center for Student Leadership. In collaboration with the Division of Career Pathways, School of Social Ecology Field Study Program, Cross-Cultural Center.

Your Job Shadow Day may consist of sitting in on meetings, facility tours, observation of daily work, informational interviews, or hands-on experience – all dependent on the nature of the industry and organization that you visit. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals in the industry! During this Information Session, we will go over the Student Resume and Application Submission process. Please note that the UCI Job Shadow Program is not a paid experience. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the host site as well as their lunch (unless otherwise notified) during the Job Shadow Program.
