Experience Expo

The Experience Expo is a collaborative two week event that seeks to create awareness of the variety of ways students can engage in professional development. Through a collection of workshops, fairs, and other events, hosted by multiple departments on campus, students can explore opportunities, connect with professionals from on and off campus, and create success. This event is open to all majors and degree levels, and includes programming for undergraduate and graduate students.

EVENTS

Experience Expo Kick-Off & The Networking Game

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, January 17: 6–8 p.m.
LOCATION: Merage School Auditorium

The evening will begin with a presentation from Brian Cho, Class of 2007, followed by over an hour of networking with professionals from a variety of fields. Refreshments provided. Practice Fair

DATE/TIME: Thursday, January 19: 1–3 p.m.
LOCATION: Career Center

At the Practice Fair, each student will be able to receive tips and guidance on what to do before and after the fair, have their resume reviewed, deveop their elevator pitch with a career counselor, and practice their pitch with recruiters. Participation in this event will increase students' confidence and success at the three fairs the following week and beyond.

Student Leadership & Involvement Fair

DATE/TIME: Monday, January 23: Noon–2 p.m.
LOCATION: Student Center Emerald Bay rooms

The Student Leadership and Involvement Fair will be jointly hosted by the Career Center and the Office of New Student and Leadership Programs. Students will learn about leadership positions including internships, peer programs, or other types of leadership positions available right here at UCI. Community & Public Service Fair

DATE/TIME: Wednesday, January 25: Noon-3 p.m.
LOCATION: Student Center Pacific Ballroom

The Community and Public Service Fair, hosted by Student Life & Leadership, will feature over 70 non-profit and social service agencies offering volunteer and/or internship positions. Business casual attire is suggested. Bring multiple copies of your resume. Get ready for this event by participating in the Practice Fair or attending a Prepare for the Fair Workshop.
